The crypto you buy in-app is securely stored with us in your Easy Crypto account. We keep your crypto safe using industry leading custodial providers. Your crypto is not locked into a term, and is not being used or invested on your behalf.

There are two reasons for this, the first is because we show real buy and sell prices in our app, while many others commonly show the spot price (the middle point between buy and sell), which isn't a real price that can be used for buying or selling. Spot is better thought of as a reference point to show how markets are moving. Secondly - the prices in our app are inclusive of all fees so there are no surprises. Some other crypto retailers add their fees on at the end.

In our app there aren’t any network fees for buying & selling. Network fees are only charged to validate transactions when crypto is sent over the blockchain, so this will only apply if you choose to send crypto outside of our app.

Currently NZD $25 for buying and NZD $0.01 for selling. Minimums are subject to change as we update our app over time.

You only need to pay tax if you have sold at a profit. If you have sold at a loss, then you may be eligible for a tax refund from the IRD. You can get an estimate of your tax obligation by looking at our web tracker, which includes your app orders.

Our app currently supports a subset of the web cryptocurrency options. To buy anything not supported in the app you’ll need to setup your own wallet then buy to it directly from the website.
